Cases of Confounding Cholestasis: Navigating the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Challenges of PFICs

November 5 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Virtual Event

For many healthcare providers, PFIC is something they may encounter only once or twice in an entire career. That’s exactly why provider education matters so much to our community. We’ve partnered with Decera Clinical Education to help bring this CME symposium to life on November 5th, both virtually and in person in Denver, Colorado.

Genetic cholestatic conditions that are diagnosed later in life, including progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC) and Alagille syndrome, can be difficult to recognize. Too often, families wait years for answers. Increasing provider awareness and knowledge is one of the most important ways we can move toward earlier diagnosis and better care for every person living with PFIC.

Join Drs. Naim Alkhouri, Kris Kowdley, and James Squires for an interactive, case-based discussion on recognizing and diagnosing PFIC and Alagille syndrome, when genetic testing may be appropriate, and how patient networks like ours can support clinicians and their patients.
